Slow down. The scent of the forest, the quiet of the countryside, evenings under the stars and unhurried mornings with a cup of coffee.
Welcome
Our little cabin stands in the shade of mature trees on the edge of a small allotment colony just outside Choceň. It is quiet here, with open views of the surrounding countryside and enough space to finally catch your breath.
It is made for exactly two people. Inside you will find a comfortable bed, a fitted kitchenette, a separate bathroom with underfloor heating and a wood stove that keeps things warm even in the cold. Outside there is a terrace, a fire pit and a garden where you can pick herbs and fruit.
We hope you will make the most of your stay — rest from the everyday rush and give yourself the quiet moments you rarely have time for.

Our garden
Herbs, fruit and everything else nature offers here is yours to use during your stay. Pick whatever makes you happy, make yourself a tea or enjoy a picnic under the open sky.
You will find mint, raspberries, cherries and apple trees. If you are staying with us longer, we would be glad if you gave our herbs a little care now and then — just water them when they need it, so they can bring joy to the next guests too.
Sauna for an extra fee
There is a Finnish sauna on the neighbouring plot which you can book during your stay for an extra fee. Wood, a stove and quiet — a perfect way to end the day after a walk, especially in autumn and winter.
The sauna needs to be arranged in advance so we have time to prepare it. Just mention it in your enquiry.
Around the cabin
Choceň is a small town from which everything is close by — the river, the woods and the sights. These are the places we go to ourselves and recommend to our guests.
The oak with a swing
about 1 km
Our closest tip — a short walk to an old oak tree with a swing. In season you will find blueberries along the way.
Peliny nature reserve
about 4 km
The last meander of the Tichá Orlice river before Choceň, with marlstone cliffs rising more than thirty metres above it. The prettiest spot around.
The chateau and its park
about 3 km
A seventeen-hectare park of glades, avenues and long views. The Orlické Museum occupies the north wing of the chateau.

Six collections — history, archaeology, palaeontology, geology, brickmaking, and aviation, tracing aircraft manufacturing in the Choceň area since 1935. The Melantrich Bible is on display too.
Tichá Orlice valley cycle path
19 km to Ústí nad Orlicí
A paved, almost flat path along the river through Brandýs nad Orlicí. You can carry on as far as Letohrad, 35 km in all. Good for skating too.

This is where Comenius wrote The Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart. There is a memorial to him, a hedge maze and a ruined castle.

The remains of a Slavic hillfort above the valley — a good half-day trip on foot or by bike.
Dívčí doly nature trail
north-west of Choceň
A marked forest trail with information points along the way.

The cabin is a good base for the foothills of the Orlické Mountains — for hiking and cycling alike. Trains run easily from here to Litomyšl, Ústí nad Orlicí and Pardubice.

Prices are for the whole cabin for two people, including bedding, towels and the morning coffee.

- Minimum stay is 2 nights.
- Check-in from 17:00, check-out by 13:00.
- Pet CZK 100 per night, one animal maximum.
- Stays of 5 nights or more get 10 % off the total (excluding holidays).
- A 50 % deposit is payable on booking.
- Sauna on the neighbouring plot for an extra fee — please arrange in advance.
Cancellation
- More than 14 days before arrival — full refund of the deposit.
- 10 to 14 days before arrival — half of the deposit refunded.
- Less than 10 days before arrival — the deposit is non-refundable.
